Overview
The department aims, through the formation of this committee, to develop and create new programs for postgraduate studies, determine and implement scientific research plans within the department, and enhance and encourage scientific research among the program's faculty members and postgraduate students. Tasks and Responsibilities of the Committee

1- Preparing the annual operational plan for the committee according to the specified templates, including monitoring the implementation of the plan's projects and continuously monitoring its indicators.
2- Proposing, developing, and creating new programs for postgraduate studies based on the needs of the job market and the economic and social development requirements in the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030 and the university's strategic plan.
3- Coordinating with the Deanship of Scientific Research and research centers and institutes at the university through the college's specialized vice dean regarding all matters related to research procedures and providing appropriate support, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
4- Motivating faculty members to submit research proposals to supporting bodies.
5- Studying research proposals submitted by faculty members to the Deanship of Scientific Research and ensuring their suitability for the research interests that the department is working to achieve.
6- Studying research proposals submitted by postgraduate students and ensuring their alignment with research methodologies and their suitability for the research interests that the department is working to achieve, serving the university and the community.
7- Developing research laboratories in the department and investing them appropriately in all research-related activities.
8- Providing necessary support to assist teaching assistants in pursuing scholarships at academically prestigious universities that rank highly in international university rankings.
9- Providing necessary support to assist scholarship-holding teaching assistants and proposing appropriate solutions to overcome the challenges they face during their studies.
10- Encouraging faculty members to publish their research in internationally recognized scientific journals.
11- Preparing progress reports and an annual report on the implementation of the operational plan, including an improvement plan for the following year.
12- Accomplishing any tasks assigned to the committee and studying any matters referred to it, and submitting appropriate proposals regarding them.
